Your tasks

We are looking for a student research assistant to support ongoing projects in medical data science on multimodal data. The work will assist the development and testing of an automated data analysis pipeline with the option of publishing relevant findings as contributions to the international research community. The exact ttask will be assigned based on the profile and interests of the student. The student will get the opportunity to learn about stateof-
the-art data analysis approaches, communication in collaborative research and recent advancements in data driven medical research.

We offer an active role in the research process and projects applying state-of-the-art methods for real-world impact in medicine. The student will be working in a highly diverse, interdisciplinary and friendly team where different cultural and educational backgrounds foster efficiency in building solutions for real-world problems.

Your profile

Required Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar)
  • Solid programming experience with Python or a comparable language
  • Understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning methods
  • Good communication skills in English or German and ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Well-structured, organized and reliable working style

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Explainable AI (XAI), Transformer Models, Knowledge Graphs or graph based data structures
  • Background in working with medical data or
    medical standards
