Your tasks

  • Support the development and maintenance of biomedical software
  • Work on backend (Node.js and Python) and optionally frontend (React and TypeScript) components
  • Contribute to the implementation and automation of CI/CD pipelines
  • Assist in containerization and deployment processes using Docker
  • Collaborate with researchers and developers in interdisciplinary biomedical projects
  • Participate in code reviews, version control (Git/GitLab), and documentation efforts

Your profile

  • Enrolled in a Master’s program in Computer Science (or related fields like Physics or Mathematics with strong programming experience)
  • Confident in working with Node.js, Python, Git/GitLab, and Docker
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows is a plus
  • Independent, structured working style and
    willingness to learn
  • Interest in biomedical or medical applications is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in the biomedical domain is a plus but not required

and dynamic institute at the Medical Faculty of the
University of Cologne. The mission of the institute is to
support the data-driven transformation in medicine and to
develop new artificial intelligence technologies for
personalized medicine. You will be part of an agile,
